Haiti - ALERT : Mysterious outbreak at 1st plain of Petit-Goâve

Since Saturday, in many localities of the 1st plain of Petit-Goâve, from the lower of Curtis up to Fondoux several hundred people vomit continuously and suffer severe abdominal pain.

Some were rushed to the St. Thérèse hospital and others were transported to the nearest health centers.

The Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP) must dispatch specialists in the areas affected by the epidemic, to determine the origin and limit its spread.

Many observers suggest the idea that these pains and vomiting could be caused, by the tons of feces that were spread on National Road #2 from Vialet to Desruisseaux and Vialet until Morne Tapion of Petit-Goâve, last 19 March http://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-13419-haiti-news-some-news-here-and-there.html
