Following the attacks, violence and robberies which multiply since October 2014 against religious communities http://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-13331-haiti-security-25-sisters-residences-attacked-by-gunmen.html Duly Brutus, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Religious Affairs said he was "dismayed by the acts of violence perpetrated against members of many religious communities and congregations established in the country."

On behalf of the Government he "strongly condemns these reprehensible and harmful acts and informs that the police are actively seeking authors and accomplices to be arrested and brought to justice to answer for their crimes."

It also condemns the attacks occurred during the first weekend of March, when four people, including voodoo priests were lynched and killed with machetes and burned by members of the population in the municipality of Chardonnière (South), accused of causing a fatal motorcycle accident through acts of witchcraft...

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Religious Affairs took the opportunity to remind the people of Haiti that the freedom of religion, belief and religion is an inalienable right of the human person enshrined in the Haitian Constitution and that everyone is free to practice religion of choice.

The Ministry took the opportunity to invite people to calm, tolerance to avoid any action that might harm the harmony and conviviality that prevail among believers of different religions in the country."
