Haiti - FLASH : A bus of Capital Coach Line attacked and burned
Monday in Petit-Goâve, a Mercedes bus passengers, of the Haitian company "Capital Coach Line, S.A", which was returning from Port-au-Prince, was intercepted, attacked, robbed and burned around 5:00 pm on the National Road #2 at the crossroad Andrédicette by a group of unidentified individuals.

The bus ensures 2 times a day the route Port-au-Prince/Les Cayes, was driven by a Dominican nationality driver and carrying on board at the time of the attack, four passengers fearing for their lives, have successfully escape. The attackers looted the bus, burned it and fled before police arrived.

Initial information suggested that this could be the Dominican driver who was targeted by attackers. The latter would have wanted revenge for the death of compatriots in the Dominican Republic. Note that the driver Dominican who legally lives in Haiti for one year, saved his life thanks to the intervention of the police.

However, at the company, one does not believe that it was the driver who was the target of the attack, but the company itself. The Directorate evokes jealous competitors, which could be behind the attack, which caused the total loss of a bus of the company costing nearly $300,000.
